Valdir Alvim da Silva

Valdir Alvim da Silva is Professor at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). Sabbatical in Economic and Organizational Sociology (SOCIUS / ISEG / ULisboa). Doctoral degree in Political Sociology from PPGSP / UFSC (2007). Master’s degree in Administration (CPGA / UFSC) in the area of Government Policies and Planning. Graduate in Economics (UFSC).

Teaching areas in Political Economy, Brazil’s Economic Formation and Economic Sociology and Organizations. He develops studies and research on Multilateral Financial Institutions with a focus on the socio-political analysis of the financial system. Member of the Center for Socio-Political Studies of the Financial System (NESFI), in the research line State, Market, Entrepreneurship and Financial System.
